soonenough

were the waters
still
and clearly –
my symentry undone
stones once thrown
as ripples now
are come

reminding me
of faraways
and seasons I was able
to hold you
one last breath
beneath the wake

as winds
defy my mem’ry
storming now the gate
pushed against my door
to let you in

where lies
an everafter –
 of moments
held in place

when swore our hearts to stay
beyond the reach

of destinies
– forgotten now
we write their will anew
rocks are thrown
– and still I hear
 the sea
