sweet thiswas a moment
of surrender –
when fall became
the spring
as juniper –
a clash of snowy flakes

songs that I remember
in the silence
sang to me
a fallen lark
of nature’s arguing

o’er what was his
and where was mine
in all this circumstance
inchworms blur
the pages –
bleed the vine

tiny yellow seeds
are just
beyond my touch
tho sometimes
I can hear them in my sleep

making plans
for summer –
found a ribbon yesterday
will bind my heart
to petals
when they fall

. . .
